We are currently recruiting a Site Security operative/Admin for a leading logistics and storage company based in Oulton Broad, near Lowestoft, Suffolk.
Shifts: 0600-1800 (Days) and 1800-0600 (Nights). Combination of day and night shifts - usually 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off pattern. Typically 3-4 shifts per week (Monday to Sunday), 36-48 hours per week.
Duties will include:
- To monitor and administer all traffic entering and leaving the site i.e. contractors, visitors, vehicles and employees.
- Carry out routine checks on vehicles, and personnel entering and leaving the site and to record.
- Carry out site interior and perimeter patrols on a regular basis and record such details including the reporting of any defects or problems resulting from this.
- To answer all incoming telephone calls outside of normal working hours promptly and efficiently and directing them to the appropriate site personnel.
- Assist in any site emergency procedure in the case of fire, ammonia leaks etc.
- Monitor and report where required the rules and regulations in respect of the Company Health and Safety Policy.
- Administration and to keep up to date with Breathing Apparatus and First Aid skills. Including ensuring that all first aid kits are fully stocked and order when necessary.
- Issuing, recording and security of all keys for the site.
- Monitoring of all CCTV and promptly reporting any concerns to the relevant departmental manager.
- Monitoring store temperature monitoring systems and highlighting any non-compliance to the site engineering manager.
- All other duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working solo.
- Computer literacy is a must!
- Reliable and able to work both days and nights as required.
