The Best Connection are looking for a Part-Time Delivery/Forklift Operative to join our client based in Upminster/South Ockendon.
Please Note: All candidates must have an accredited forklift operator certificate and license and a full UK drivers license.
Pay Rate: £14.51 per hour
Working Hours:
- Monday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
- Sunday: 9:00am - 1:00pm
There will also be the opportunity to provide additional holiday cover when required.
Duties will include:
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Driving the company delivery vehicle to farms and stable yards on Fridays.
- Loading and unloading deliveries at customer locations.
- Loading and unloading lorries.
- Checking and signing for incoming deliveries.
- Unpacking, pricing, and organising stock.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Assisting customers with enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- Supporting with promotional displays and general day-to-day tasks as required.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be hardworking, reliable, punctual, and flexible.
- Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting throughout the day.
- Hold a valid forklift licence and a full UK driving licence.
- Have an interest in animals or the agricultural sector (desirable).
- Be a confident communicator with a friendly approach.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Be happy working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
