FLT Driver (4-Way Multi-Directional Reach (M3) & Counterbalance)Location: Oldbury, West MidlandsPay Rate: £13.50 per hourContract: Temporary to Permanent (initial rolling monthly contract)Hours: 40 hours per weekShift PatternInitial training period: 6:00am - 2:30pmFollowing training: 1:00pm - 9:00pmOvertime available.About the RoleThe Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading international steel stockholder and distributor, for an experienced FLT Driver to join their warehouse operation in Oldbury.This role involves handling long-length steel products within a busy warehouse environment using both Counterbalance and 4-Way Multi-Directional Reach trucks.Please note: Candidates must hold both a valid Counterbalance licence and a valid M3 Multi-Directional Reach Truck licence. Standard Reach Truck licences (R1-R14 categories) will not be considered.Key ResponsibilitiesOperating Counterbalance and Multi-Directional Reach (M3) trucks safely and efficiently.Loading and unloading steel products.Moving long-length materials throughout the warehouse.Picking and preparing customer orders.Carrying out stock checks and stock movements.Using warehouse management and stock control systems.Completing general warehouse duties as required.Adhering to all health and safety procedures.Essential RequirementsValid Counterbalance FLT licence.Valid 4-Way Multi-Directional Reach Truck (M3) licence.Previous experience operating Multi-Directional FLT equipment.Experience working within a busy warehouse environment.Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience using stock control systems.Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.Highly DesirablePrevious experience operating Hubtex trucks.Experience handling steel, metal or other long-length products.Experience within a steel stockholder, manufacturing or industrial environment.Experience using SAP systems.Experience operating overhead cranes.Experience using horizontal or metal-cutting saws.Knowledge of Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques.What's on Offer?£13.50 per hourOvertime available at enhanced ratesImmediate start availableOpportunity to join a globally recognised steel supplierPotential for long-term employmentSupportive and established warehouse team
