The Best Connection are recruiting for a Logistics Supervisor to support the Logistics Manager and ensure the smooth and efficient running of a busy depot operation at our client in York. Our client is an established medical supply company.
The Role:
- Plan and manage daily driver routes to maximise efficiency as Logistics Supervisor
- Oversee driver and vehicle administration, including timesheets, maintenance, compliance, and fuel records.
- Produce reports, monitor depot KPIs, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage customer service queries and support operational systems.
- Book agency staff when required.
- Ensure depot facilities, vehicles, and warehouse operations meet company standards.
- Support Health & Safety compliance and company procedures.
- Provide cover for warehouse and transport operations when required as well Logistic Supervisor duties.
- Assist with general supervisory duties including stock, consumables, petty cash, and invoicing checks.
The Candidate:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within transport and warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of routing, logistics, and depot administration.
- Experience using WMS, transport management systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different operational roles.
- Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and performance monitoring.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
Salary: Salary equivalent to £29,000-£30,000 a year
