The Best Connection are currently recruiting for experienced Order Pickers to join our client based in Leyland, Preston.
The Best Connection are looking for reliable, hardworking and experienced warehouse operatives to join a busy afternoon shift operation in Leyland, Preston.
This role involves working in a freezer environment with temperatures below 0°C, so candidates must be comfortable working in cold conditions. There is also some lifting involved throughout the shift.
The Role
As an Order Picker, your main responsibilities will include:
- Picking customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Working in a freezer environment at temperatures below 0°C
- Picking products and placing completed orders into cages
- Moving cages around the warehouse as required
- Carrying out some lifting throughout the shift
- Working to productivity and accuracy targets
- Ensuring orders are picked correctly and ready for dispatch
- Following warehouse health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a busy and hardworking team
Shift Details
Hours: 13.00pm - 21.00pm
Pay Rate
- £15.64 per hour - 18.00 to 21.00
- £12.90 per hour - 13.00 to 18.00
Requirements
Previous warehouse experience is essential for this position. Previous order-picking experience would be highly desirable.
The successful candidate will need to:
- Have previous warehouse experience
- Be comfortable working in temperatures below 0°C
- Be physically fit and able to carry out some lifting
- Have good attention to detail
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be comfortable working shifts
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Be able to work well as part of a team
