Reporting to: Production Supervisor

As a Production Operative, you will work in either the High Care, Packing, or Mix Plant areas, depending on business requirements. Working as part of a small team, you\'ll play an important role in producing, packing, and handling high-quality ice cream products while maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fill ice cream containers to the correct specification, ensuring accurate weights and reporting any significant discrepancies.
  • Operate and monitor production machinery, keeping workstations stocked and reporting any equipment issues promptly.
  • Pack ice cream products efficiently to prevent defrosting and ensure products are correctly wrapped and stored.
  • Mix and pasteurise ice cream in line with approved procedures and food safety standards.
  • Clean production equipment, tanks, freezers, and work areas following cleaning procedures.
  • Organise packaging materials and support product changeovers as required.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, quality, and food safety at all times.
  • Follow all production processes, company policies, and legal requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
  • Report any faults, damage, or maintenance concerns immediately.
