Overview
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Lead Quality Inspector for our valued client based in Wolverhampton.
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm with 30 minutes lunch break Monday-Friday.
Salary: £14.50 -£15.50 per hour
Start Date: Immediate
Responsibilities
- Material and component inspection: goods received inspection, first article, work in progress and final inspection.
- Roving inspection
- Creating inspection, dimensional and hardness reports.
- Maintenance of gauge calibration
- Performing internal calibration
- Liaison with production, quality and despatch departments
- Liaison with customer and supplier inspection departments
- Occasional travel for off-site inspection.
Skills
- Use of metrology equipment including thread gauges, micrometers, caliper gauges, profile projector and thread micrometers.
- Hardness testing
- Use of XRF analyser
- Use of surface comparator
- Plating and coating inspection
- Familiarity with certification for metallic materials
- Familiarity with sampling plans
- Problem solving and decision making
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Previous experience in the special fastener industry is desirable but not essential
