The Best Connection is currently recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of our manufacturing client based in East Ayrshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business with an immediate start available. The role is offered on an initial 3-month contract with weekly pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and transport materials to machinery using a Forklift Truck (FLT).
- Set up and operate production equipment including roll flatteners, edge mills, linishers, and brushes.
- Load selected foil materials and ensure they are clean and free from oil contamination.
- Operate milling equipment, checking material dimensions and removing damaged, oversized, or undersized material before recoiling.
- Load and unload production ovens.
- Complete material logging and tracking using computer systems.
- Carry out routine housekeeping duties, including cleaning external extraction systems on a weekly basis and emptying sludge skips at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and quality standards.
Shift Pattern
- Days: Monday to Wednesday: 07:15 - 17:15, Thursday: 07:15 - 16:30
- Nights: Monday: 21:15 - 07:30, Tuesday to Thursday: 21:45 - 07:30
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow established processes.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Basic computer skills for material logging and production records.
- A valid FLT licence would be desirable but is not essential, as full consideration will be given to candidates without a licence.
