The Best Connection are proud to be supporting one of the UK's most successful manufacturers of fresh Meat and Deli products. This is a well established site with a great working environment and the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge in food manufacturing. We are recruiting for Night Shift Hygiene operatives to work on a full time, on-going basis at their site near Sandy in Bedfordshire. The role will suit candidates with previous experience in food production/manufacturing and industrial cleaning.
Responsibilities of the Night Hygiene Operative:
- Clean, sanitise and dismantle production equipment, utensils and surfaces to the highest standards.
- Report any maintenance or hygiene concerns to the management team, ensuring the correct reporting processes are adhered to.
- Follow all health and safety and food hygiene protocol at all times, carry out daily, weekly and monthly checks as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Night shift team to ensure that all tasks are completed and signed off each shift.
- Use all cleaning equipment and chemicals as directed and in accordance to COSHH and manufacturers guidelines.
Requirements of the Night Hygiene Operative:
- Live locally to the site or have own/reliable transport to the site and be able to commit to night shifts on a regular basis.
- Have previous experience in commercial cleaning, ideally within the food manufacturing/catering sectors.
- Have strong attention to detail, good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are met.
- Be physically fit as the role requires long periods of standing, manual handling with some tasks requiring force/strength to completion.
- Wear PPE and follow all opening and close-down cleaning tasks, recording tasks completed and reporting any hazards/issues to the operations teams.
