Our client is a food distribution business based in Hounslow seeking a dependable Customer Service/Admin Operative to support our daily operations. This role is key in ensuring our customers receive excellent service, from handling enquiries to coordinating orders and deliveries. It suits someone who is organised, communicative, and committed to delivering a high standard of customer care.

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Overtime: £21.00 per hour

Working Hours:

  • SHIFT A: 7am - 3pm
  • SHIFT B: 2pm - 10pm

Including a 30 minute unpaid break. Flexibility is essential, as shift patterns and hours may change in line with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all orders from a variety of sources i.e. email, various order platforms and automated AI systems
  • Ensure that everything is loaded onto internal software accurately
  • Deal with customer queries efficiently and effectively
  • Liaise with customers over queries and work to solve quickly
  • Liaise with Stock Manager to help the depot keep accurate records
  • When necessary, some credit control may be required
  • Monitor the inbox for any issues which may arise and ensure they are forwarded to the relevant colleague

Early Shift Specific Duties:

  • Pick up and address issues from the previous night's deliveries
  • Issue credit notes where necessary and schedule order correction drops
  • Ensure all keys from the previous night are organised and keep the driver room tidy on a day to day basis

Late Shift Specific Duties:

  • Printing all orders and pick lists ahead of the evening shifts starting
  • Working with colleagues to ensure all routes are planned and communicated
  • Ensure that keys are organised for that night

About You:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and shift patterns
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
