The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to support our client based in Dunstable. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our clients Production operations. To support day-to-day production activities including assembly of electrical distribution boards (Defenders), surge kits, cable kits, and weatherproof products, while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols. Production Operative Key Responsibilities: * Assemble products (Defenders, kits, enclosures) as per BOMs and work instructions * Carry out cable preparation using wire cutting, stripping, crimping, and heat shrinking tools * Perform basic labelling, packaging, and product finishing tasks * Always follow safety and housekeeping practices * Maintain production records and update job status sheets * Collaborate with supervisor and team to meet daily targets and timelines * Report faults, damages, or quality concerns immediately Production Operative Requirements: * Basic understanding of electrical components or willingness to learn * Experience in light manufacturing or electrical assembly (preferred but not essential) * Attention to detail and commitment to quality * Ability to follow written and verbal instruction Production Operative - Pay Rates £12.71 per hour for all hours workedProduction Operative - Working Hours 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday with a one hour break (30 Minutes Paid) Our Client Offers Free onsite parking Modern, clean canteen facilities Opportunity for permanent contract with career progression Benefits of working for The Best Connection 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata (inclusive of statutory holidays) Weekly pay Online payslips Pension contribution Ongoing temporary assignmentsThe Best Connection is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
