Airport Check in Host Required
We are currently recruiting for an Airport check in Host to assist passengers with assistance requirements located in Stansted Airport. This is a great opportunity to work with a global company, with no experience required and full on the job training provided!
Pay: £13.37 per hour
Hours: Two different shift times available: 17:30 – 04:00 or 10:00 – 20:30, Shift length is 10 and a half hours with a 30 min lunch break.
Shift Rotation: 4 on 4 off
Location: Stansted Airport (CM24 1QW)
Duration: Ongoing, Temp to Perm Opportunities

Responsibilities
- Greet and check in all assisted passengers at the passenger assistance areas ensuring high standards of service.
- Operate the check-in desk (landside, airside or pre-immigration) meeting and greeting passengers from first contact.
- Assign tasks to team members.
- Ensure all passengers are booked into the ABM Airport Inform system.
- Provide excellent customer service to all assisted passengers at each point.
- Adhere to SLA times for all passengers in all areas.
- Expedite a smooth transfer throughout the terminal.
- Ensure passengers are in the system and closed with comments where needed.
- CSA communications with you immediately after arriving at the Desks.
- Immediately report equipment faults and record job report numbers to the Duty Managers.
- Immediately report injuries or accidents to yourself or customers to the Duty Manager.
- Identify potential SLA failures and highlight to the Duty Manager.
- Greet passengers respectfully and ensure correct protocol for equipment use.
- Introduce yourself, ask what assistance is required, explain the process, and prepare the passenger for the security part of the journey.
- Complete an incident/accident report for any issue, including near misses.
- During delays or disruption liaise with operations coordinators, airlines and handling agents to keep assistance passengers updated.
- Call Operations coordinators to inform them of extra passengers.
- Keep the area clean and tidy and maintain ongoing care and communication with passengers.
- Carry out any reasonable task as required.
Qualifications
- 5 years\’ worth of references (our dedicated team will obtain them for you)
- Willingness to apply for a DBS Check (paid for by us)
- Ability to complete a GSAT (paid for by us)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Polite and professional approach
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to deal tactfully with upset or angry passengers
- IT skills
