Are you a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business looking to add an experienced engineer to its maintenance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role where you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site services.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Install, commission, modify and improve machinery and equipment.
- Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, packaging machinery and processing equipment.
- Fault-find on motors, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, VSDs and control panels.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Recognised Engineering qualification
- Multi-skilled experience covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Previous manufacturing maintenance experience
Desirable
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
- Food Manufacturing or FMCG experience
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Automation and controls experience
- IOSH Working Safely
