FACTORY ENGINEER

Are you a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer with both electrical and mechanical maintenance experience? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business looking to add an experienced engineer to its maintenance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role where you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently while supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The Role

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site services.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Install, commission, modify and improve machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, packaging machinery and processing equipment.
  • Fault-find on motors, sensors, PLC-controlled equipment, VSDs and control panels.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Recognised Engineering qualification
  • Multi-skilled experience covering both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Previous manufacturing maintenance experience

Desirable

  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification
  • Food Manufacturing or FMCG experience
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Automation and controls experience
  • IOSH Working Safely
