Machine Operatives required

Are you looking for a long-term opportunity with full training, regular overtime, and excellent earning potential? We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to join a busy and well-established manufacturing company in Gillingham.

No previous machine operating experience is required as full training will be provided.

Training Period

4 weeks on day shift

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 15:00
  • Friday: 07:30 - 14:30

Permanent PM Shift After Training pay £13.92 an hour

  • Monday to Thursday: 15:30 - 23:30
  • Friday: 15:00 - 22:30

Pay & Overtime

Overtime is regularly available and paid at enhanced rates:

  • Time and a half after 37 hours worked
  • Saturdays and Bank Holidays paid at time and a half
  • Sundays paid at double time

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and loading production machinery (full training provided)
  • Assembling components for diesel pumps
  • Quality checking finished products
  • Packing parts ready for dispatch
  • Working safely and efficiently within a manufacturing environment
  • Working with oils and diesel products in certain departments (full PPE provided)

  • A positive and reliable attitude
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work on a permanent late shift after training
