The Best Connection are seeking a Skilled Warehouse Operative to work for our client based in Central Southampton.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Handling and moving steel stock safely within the warehouse
- Operating machinery including forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and bandsaws
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Picking and preparing orders accurately
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations
Job requirements:
- Previous experience working in a steel or heavy-duty warehouse environment (preferred)
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence
- Experience operating overhead cranes and bandsaws (advantageous)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working hours are 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday. Pay rate of £13.45 per hour, weekly pay. This is an ongoing role, with the potential to go permanent following a successful trial period.
