The Best Connection Slough is currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 2 Drivers to work for our client in the Ascot area. They are a leading waste management company looking for reliable, committed drivers to join their busy and expanding team. This particular role involves the delivery of plant and tool machinery across the UK.

Salary for this role is £17.00 per hour on a 45 hour working week. Working hours are 0700 to 1700 with a 1 hour unpaid break. Overtime is available and payable at time and a half after 9 hours per day – £25.50.

The job Role:

  • Loading / unloading vehicles
  • Delivering / collecting plant and tools
  • Completing necessary paperwork
  • Keeping up to date with and following health and safety and other procedures
  • Reporting any vehicle defaults
  • Assisting at other depots if required
  • Assisting with non-driving jobs at the depot if required, including yard areas
  • Participating in training courses as necessary, possibly in own time
  • Maintaining necessary qualifications up to date
  • Liaising with staff members and customers
