The Best Connection Portsmouth are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Gosport for 2 x HGV Class 2 Refuse Drivers. This role would be on a temporary to permanent basis for the right candidate.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Operate HGV Class 2 Refuse vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Collect waste from residential homes in domestic waste route
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and digital records accurately (e.g. delivery notes)
  • Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and site personnel
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients
  • Keep vehicle clean and presentable

Hours of work:

  • 07:00-15:30 - Monday to Thursday
  • 07:00 - 14:30 Friday
  • There could be some overtime on some of the days due to end of day tipping

39 Hour working week as standard.

Pay Rates:

  • £15.00 ph Monday to Friday all hours
  • £30.00 ph Bank Holidays

As a HGV Class 2 Driver you will be required to have:

  • HGV Class 2 (C) Licence
  • Digi Card
  • CPC Card
  • Experience preferred but not essential

As part of the recruitment process you will be put through an induction with the client.
