The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of their well-established Client in the Goole area. We are currently seeking a proactive and highly organised Dispatch Administrator to join our client's team immediately on a temporary basis. This is a minimum 3-month assignment, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a fast-paced and vital role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient dispatch of finished goods, helping to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the efficient dispatch of all finished goods within the UK, ensuring customer delivery commitments are consistently met or exceeded
- Maintain and improve housekeeping standards across dispatch areas, including the office
- Ensure all goods are correctly stored, labelled, and dispatched in line with company procedures
- Adhere strictly to all site health & safety policies and procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Manage dispatch drop-off points effectively to avoid congestion and risk
- Ensure safe stacking and storage of goods prior to dispatch
- Operate warehouse forklift trucks safely and correctly (where applicable)
- Identify and recommend improvements to space utilisation and workflow
- Work closely with department supervisors to ensure goods are ready for dispatch as required
- Provide daily updates on delivery schedules, priorities, and potential bottlenecks
- Coordinate the movement of materials, work-in-progress, and components between warehouse and production
- Book and manage all incoming and outgoing delivery and collection slots
- Support and ensure compliance requirements
- Communicate regularly with both domestic and export customers regarding delivery schedules
- Arrange parcel dispatch via APC and other carriers
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse administration preferred
