The Best Connection is recruiting CNC Machine Operatives on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Thorne, Doncaster.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team with immediate starts available. Candidates with CNC experience are encouraged to apply, but those with basic CNC knowledge and a willingness to learn will also be considered, as training can be provided for the right individual.


Pay Rates



  • Days: Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm £12.71 per hour

  • Afters: Monday-Thursday, 2pm-11pm £14.12 per hour

  • Nights: Monday-Thursday, 11pm-5am £16.95 per hour


Enhanced rates include applicable shift allowances.


The Role


As a CNC Machine Operative, you will be responsible for producing high-quality aluminium components while ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.


Key duties include:



  • Operating CNC machinery to drill, tap and turn aluminium components

  • Producing parts to exact specifications and quality standards

  • Identifying and reporting product defects or deviations

  • Monitoring production output and achieving departmental targets

  • Carrying out quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process

  • Preparing and packing finished products ready for dispatch

  • Using machinery, tooling and equipment safely and efficiently

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

  • Working closely with Team Leaders and the wider production team

  • Supporting continuous improvement and production efficiency


What We're Looking For



  • Previous CNC machining or machine operating experience

  • Basic CNC knowledge as a minimum, with further training available

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and visual standards

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Flexible attitude and willingness to learn new skills
