Furniture Delivery Driver / Assembler
Location: Goole
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour
Hours: Approximately 40 hours over 3-4 days (Monday to Friday operation)
The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Goole. Our client supplies and installs household furniture through online and direct-to-public sales.
The Role
- Working as part of a 2-person team
- Delivering and assembling household furniture
- Loading and unloading the van
- Carrying furniture into customers' homes
- Using basic battery-operated and manual tools for assembly
The van is pre-loaded each day, and the team departs each morning to complete scheduled deliveries.
Requirements
- Physically fit (heavy lifting involved)
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
- Comfortable using basic hand and battery-operated tools
- Over 25 years old (insurance purposes)
- Held a full UK driving licence for at least 1 year
- No DR, DD, CD or IN10 endorsements
- No more than 6 minor penalty points
What We Offer
- £12.50 per hour
- 28 days holiday accrual per annum
- On-the-job training alongside an experienced senior driver/assembler
- Immediate start available (following agency registration)
- Ongoing weekly work, with the potential for a permanent full-time position
- Some early starts (from 5:00am) and longer days may be required.
