We are currently recruiting reliable and customer-focused Driver's Mates to join a well-established sofa delivery company based in Follingsby Park, Gateshead. This is a physically active, customer-facing role, ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and providing excellent service to customers.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 07:00 - 18:00
- Occasional weekends required
Pay Rate
£12.67 per hour
The Role
- Assisting the driver with the delivery of sofas and furniture to customers' homes
- Loading and unloading heavy items safely and efficiently
- Ensuring deliveries are completed in a professional and customer-friendly manner
- Communicating clearly with customers during deliveries
- Adhering to all health & safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the driver to ensure routes and schedules are completed on time
The Candidate
- Physically fit and able to carry out heavy manual handling
- Comfortable working in a customer-facing role
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude with good communication skills
- Previous delivery or driver's mate experience is desirable but not essential
