The Best Connection is currently recruiting on behalf of our prestigious client based in the Carntyne area of Glasgow for an experienced Financial Controller to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident taking ownership of the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial control of the business.
  • Manage sales and purchase ledgers, including sending and chasing invoices.
  • Monitor debtors and creditors, ensuring payments are made and received on time.
  • Process and manage company payroll accurately.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide management with key financial information.
  • Drive cost control initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce business expenditure.
  • Maintain strong cash flow management.
  • Lead and attend management meetings, providing financial insight and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers and key stakeholders.

  • Experience within a fast-paced finance environment.
  • Proven experience in cost control and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
