The Best Connection are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team. The role involves operating walking floor and tanker wagons, collecting treated material from water treatment plants and delivering to farms. This is a Monday to Friday tramping role offering stable hours and consistent, ongoing work.
Competitive hourly/weekly pay (DOE)
- £25 per night out (tax-free allowance)
- £100 attendance bonus every 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 vehicles (walking floor and tanker wagons) safely and efficiently
- Collect treated human waste from water treatment plants
- Deliver to farms in line with schedules
- Ensure loads are transported safely and comply with regulations
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logbooks
- Comply with all driving, tachograph, and health & safety regulations
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence - minimum 6 months experience
- Aged 25 or over (insurance purposes)
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No major endorsements (e.g. DR, DD, IN)
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience with walking floors and/or tankers preferred
- Strong knowledge of UK road transport laws
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 50 hours per week
- Tramping required (overnight stays in vehicle)
