Office Administrator
Location: Buckshaw Village, Chorley
Hours: 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday (paid break included)
Pay Rate: Β£14.40 per hour
About the Role:
The Best Connection are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial & Payroll Administrator to support the Operational Management Team and Finance Manager. This is a varied role that combines payroll administration, operational reporting, financial analysis, and general site administration.
The successful candidate will be confident working with data, producing accurate reports, reconciling information, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong Excel skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately collate, validate, analyse & input confidential payroll data.
- Maintain monthly payroll reports and support the resolution of pay-related queries.
- Process and report agency labour hours and associated costs.
- Ensure payroll and operational information is updated and followed up where required.
- Produce weekly and monthly revenue, margin, and cost reports.
- Prepare invoicing templates and maintain cost trackers and analysis reports.
- Perform reconciliations and investigate data discrepancies.
- Manage Purchase Order Numbers & Queries
- Manage the end-to-end purchase order process, including raising and reconciling orders.
- Record and maintain absence management data and reporting.
- Support the onboarding of new employees and maintain personnel records.
- Update workforce management systems, including starter, leaver, and employee amendment records.
- Provide general operational and administrative support, including ad hoc tasks and employee engagement activities.
About You
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical ability.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Able to work on your own initiative and manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operational, HR, and finance teams.
- Understanding of GDPR requirements and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
