The Best Connection is currently recruiting for Yard Operatives for our well established client based in Epsom.

Working Hours
We offer two flexible shift patterns to suit your availability:
Option 1 - Monday to Friday
- Start time: 7:00am
- 4-6 hours per day
Option 2 - 3 Days per Week (Rota Basis)
- Start time: 7:00am
- 10-12 hours per day
Pay:
£13.00ph
Key Responsibilities of the Yard Operative:
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the yard.
- Direct and assist drivers and vehicles entering and leaving the site.
- Sort, segregate and manage different types of waste and recyclable materials.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Keep the yard clean, tidy and organised at all times.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Identify and report any hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe working conditions.
- Assist machine and plant operators where required, subject to training and authorisation.
- Support colleagues to ensure the site operates efficiently.
Requirements of the Yard Operative:
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking individual.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good awareness of health and safety.
- The ability to carry out physical, manual work.
- Previous experience in waste management, recycling, construction or a yard environment is desirable but not essential.
