Our client in Twycross manufactures and assembles high-quality overhead lines and is looking for a reliable and detail-focused Quality Control Engineer to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role is ideal for someone with an engineering background who enjoys a varied, practical position involving inspection, testing, and customer liaison.

Job Responsibilities

  • Goods Inwards inspection and booking materials onto the system
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Using digital verniers and other measuring equipment
  • Conducting mechanical tensile testing on machines ranging from 200kN to 1,000kN
  • Goods Outwards inspection and booking materials out
  • Liaising with clients to arrange and manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
  • Completing documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:30

Pay Rate

£12.21 - £13.00 per hour, depending on experience

Ideal Candidate

  • Engineering background preferred
  • Confident reading engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Comfortable using measuring equipment
  • Good IT skills (Word & Excel)
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
