Van Driver/Support Operative

£13.00 per hour for non-driving roles, £13.50 for driving roles
Monday to Thursday (Friday work available as required)
Job Summary
We are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Van Drivers / Event Support Operatives to join a busy and growing team based in the Stockport area. The role combines driving, warehouse duties, and on-site installation work – delivering equipment across the UK, assisting with loading and unloading vehicles, and carrying out basic assembly tasks at customer sites. Working alongside a Driver's Mate, you will represent the business professionally, ensuring all deliveries and installations are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Luton van or large Transit van to locations throughout the UK
- Picking, packing, and loading stock onto vehicles
- Completing vehicle checks and ensuring safe transportation of goods
- Unloading deliveries and carrying out basic assembly and installation work on-site
- Working safely from step ladders where required
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism
- Ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed timeframes
- Working closely with your Driver's Mate to deliver successful installations
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' commercial van driving experience
- 21 years of age or older
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Comfortable working at height using step ladders
- Flexible approach to working hours and travel
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday
- Start times between 4:00am and 8:00am
- Shifts typically 8-10 hours per day, depending on travel requirements and job location
- Additional Friday work may be available during busy periods
