About Ecodek: Ecodek is a market leader in the manufacture of sustainable wood composite decking systems. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and dependable Groundworks Operative to join our on-site installation support team. This role is critical in preparing customer sites for the installation of our high-quality decking products. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with working away from home, sometimes for extended periods, and must hold a valid UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend customer premises nationwide to carry out ground preparation works
- Remove existing decking and clear sites in readiness for new installations
- Conduct site levelling, basic groundwork, and general labour tasks
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations
- Represent Ecodek professionally while on site
- Work collaboratively with the decking installation team to ensure seamless project delivery
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential). Trailer towing experience or willingness to tow is an advantage
- Previous experience in groundwork, landscaping, or a similar manual trade
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable with working away from home as required
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to tasks
- Good problem-solving skills
