We're currently looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join a busy precision engineering team based in Dartford.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting, operating and programming 3-axis & 5-axis CNC milling machines
- Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
- Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Selecting tooling and optimising machining processes
- Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience setting, operating and programming CNC milling machines
- Experience with 3-axis & 5-axis machining centres
- Heidenhain control experience preferred
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience machining precision components to tight tolerances
- Proficient in using a variety of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges and DTIs
- Good knowledge of cutting tools, tooling applications and machining strategies
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Organised, punctual, reliable and safety-conscious
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
