The Role
You will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.
Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexibility required - may vary between 8:30am - 5:00pm)
Pay: Salary discussed at interview
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the sales ledger
- Chasing outstanding invoices via phone, email, and written communication
- Allocating incoming payments and reconciling accounts
- Investigating and resolving invoice queries
- Producing and reviewing aged debt reports
- Monitoring credit limits and assessing financial risk
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve account issues
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
- Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be highly accurate with data entry
- Have a good understanding of proforma versus credit accounts
- Have experience working with numbers in a financial setting
- Have experience handling cash
- Possess a strong understanding of GDPR and data confidentiality
