Overview
The Best Connection are proudly recruiting for multiple Grounds Maintenance Operatives for our well established client who provides landscape maintenance and soft landscaping services to local authorities across Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent serving commercial, public and private sectors.
Location: Horsham
Industry: Agriculture
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm
Pay: £12.50 an hour to £14.50 per hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Carry out grass cutting using strimmers, pedestrian mowers, and ride-on mowers with trailers (full training provided).
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of all sites.
- Operate, maintain, and care for vehicles and equipment.
- Perform hedge cutting, shrub and border maintenance, pruning, and leaf clearance.
- Undertake landscaping and environmental improvement works, including turfing, seeding, and planting.
- Work safely at all times, complying with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Ideally looking for gardening/landscaping experience.
- Full UK driving licence to get to site.
- Experience with ride-on mowers, strimmers, and hedge cutters is an advantage but not essential.
- Competent and confident in towing a trailer is an advantage.
- Health and safety awareness through training and experience.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Be comfortable with manual work in all weather conditions.
