The Best Connection are proudly recruiting for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our busy client in Crawley, operating within the Warehousing and Logistics industry.
Location: Crawley
Industry: Warehousing and Logistics
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00
Pay: £14.67 an hour
Key Responsibilities of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently within the warehouse
- Loading and unloading deliveries from vehicles
- Moving and transporting stock, pallets and materials to the correct warehouse locations
- Loading and preparing goods for dispatch
- Assisting with the movement and organisation of stock throughout the warehouse
- Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage
- Carrying out routine forklift safety checks before operating the vehicle
- Reporting any damage, faults or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse environment
- Following all Health and Safety procedures and site regulations at all times
Requirements of the Counterbalance Forklift Driver:
- A valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence or recognised training certificate
- Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred
- Good awareness of Health and Safety procedures when operating forklift trucks
- Ability to load, unload and move goods safely and accurately
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Good attention to detail when handling and positioning stock
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment
- Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required
