Position Details
- Location: Crawley
- Pay Rate: £17.51 per hour
- Sector: Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain
- Working Pattern: Tuesday to Saturday
- Start Time: 05:00
- Finish Time: Approximately 14:00 (depending on delivery schedules)
The Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of a range of products, including:
- Kitchen worktops
- White goods
- Appliances
- Other home improvement and household products
This role involves multi-drop deliveries and regular manual handling, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy a physically active role within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
- Deliver worktops, white goods, and other bulky items to residential and commercial customers.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
- Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Comply with all road transport regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to undertake heavy lifting and manual handling duties.
