The Best Connection are pleased to be recruiting for one of our long standing clients in St Neots and are looking for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operative to join their friendly team. The role will involve loading and unloading building and fencing materials around the yard and assisting the production team to organise stock for deliveries and in-bound materials. Candidates will be working outside in all weathers and must have a valid, in-date accredited FLT Licence.
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday usual working hours are 07:30 - 16:30hrs, pay rate is £13.50 per hour.
Requirements of the job:
- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve production targets
- Carry out quality control checks on products as directed and report any concerns to the production manager
- Manual Handling, Heavy lifting and working outside in all weathers are a requirement of this role.
- Commit to working rotating shift pattern of Days/Nights
- Follow all health and safety protocol at all times, reporting any concerns/incidents to management
- Forklift operatives will need to hold an accredited, valid, in date 5 tonne Counterbalance licence.
- Be able to commute to shift location
Responsibilities of the job:
- Carry out yard/production site and warehouse housekeeping as required
- Complete any health and safety checks and record keeping as required
- Ensure all duties/tasks are carried out to required standards and production targets are achieved
- Operate Counterbalance Forklift to move stock and equipment safely around the yard/production site
