Cold Store Operatives Wanted in Derby!
Location: Derby City Centre
Shift Pattern: Days - 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday (Shifts will be moving to 4 on, 4 off in May)
Pay Rate: £12.21
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for Cold Store Operatives to join our client based in Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand new modern, state-of-the-art, automated facility, working for a national food manufacturer.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role: Cold store / warehouse operative
- Experience working in fast moving consumer goods environment
- Comfortable working in cold environments - You will be working in temperatures of -18 degrees but all PPE will be provided.
Job Role of a Cold Store Operative:
As a Cold Store Operative, you will be responsible for the supervision of automated systems, palletising, storing products in correct locations, and dispatched in line with company safe systems of work and operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities of a Cold Store Operative:
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Monitor automated processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections
- Accurately pack and label finished goods
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in work areas
- Report faults, errors, or issues to the team leader promptly
- Work as part of a team to achieve production targets and deadlines
- MHE experience is preferred but not essential
