CNC Miller / Toolmaker Wanted ASAP! The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC MILLER/TOOLMAKER to join a well-established precision engineering company based in Aston, Birmingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to secure a temporary to permanent position with a well-established company after a successful temp period. You will be involved in the manufacture, modification, and repair of a wide variety of tooling and precision components.
Key Responsibilities
- CNC milling using XYZ machines
- Toolmaking for jigs, fixtures, and production tooling
- One-off and small batch precision components
- Tool repair, maintenance, and modification
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Toolmaker or CNC Miller in a toolroom environment
- Strong CNC milling experience (XYZ controls preferred)
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Experience with one-off and bespoke work (not just production machining)
- Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 7.30am-4.00pm, Friday 7.30am - 2.30pm
Pay rate: £16.00-£18.00. Higher pay rate achieved with relevant experience.
