As an Assistant Team Leader in the Fresh Produce industry, we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:
- Key Responsibilities
- Supporting and managing greenhouse staff teams of up to 40 during peak periods
- Staff rotas, absences, sickness, and basic HR duties
- Leading by example with daily operational tasks
- Ensuring productivity, quality, and health & safety standards are met
- Computer literacy
- Motivating staff to ensure efficiency in the production line
The role will involve on-the-job training with regular check-ins with the Team Leader on-site to ensure you are following the company codes of practice and adhering to its values at all times.
A degree of flexibility will be required in regards to start and finish times during the busiest of periods and we would remind all candidates that the shift pattern is 5 days out of 7, so some weekends will be expected.
Due to its location we would recommend applicants have their own vehicle for ease of transport to the site location or be locally placed to ensure the commute is as easy as possible.
