We have a summer housekeeping contract available based at a University in Falmer - ideal for candidates looking for work during the summer! This is a 3 month contract from June to September to help assist a facilities team with monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness of general areas within the site. There is also a possibility of a permanent position for the successful candidate. Training will be provided and pay will be on a weekly basis. Full or part time shifts available!

Previous cleaning/housekeeping experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided. My client is looking for committed and reliable individuals who are able to work the hours required.

Job duties include:

  • Cleaning of general areas including mopping, hoovering, dusting etc
  • Disinfecting surfaces
  • Emptying rubbish and recyclables
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Reporting/escalating any issues to the supervisor
  • Safe handling of chemicals

Requirements:

  • Reliability is crucial to this role - absences must be kept to a minimum where possible
  • Positive and friendly attitude
  • Willingness to learn
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be comfortable with walking/being on your feet throughout the shift

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm or 9am to 5pm with 1 or 2 weekends in a month - either Saturday or Sunday

Pay: £12.60 per hour
