The Best Connection Bedford are currently supporting one of clients with their logistics operations delivering their high quality fresh products across the UK from their depot in Bedford to their London sites.
We are delighted to be supporting our client and are recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 drivers to deliver our clients award-winning foods and deliver an efficient service to their neighbouring depots within 90 minutes of their HQ in Bedford.
Shift times are : 01:30hrs - 09:30hrs Monday - Saturday - early start, early finish to avoid the rush hour and be back in time for breakfast!
Pay rate £17.00 per hour for Class 2 HGV Driver, overtime rates apply after 8 hours per day.
Responsibilities of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Report to the Bedford depot and collect the goods to be delivered to the depot/scheduled locations approximately 60-70 miles from Bedford.
- Make timed deliveries, unload/load goods as required and adhere to the delivery schedules following the client\'s pre-planned route.
- Deliver a first class service to the neighbouring depots and help with any related delivery tasks to ensure that all products are dispatched with the highest level of accuracy and care
- Unload palletised goods and follow all food hygiene and health and safety protocol as part of the food service.
Requirements of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Must have valid in date Class 2 HGV licence with up to date DIGI card, CPC card with no more than 3 points on licence
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years HGV driving experience, preferably delivering to London and outskirts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Happy to commit to shift timings and follow pre-planned routes to adhere to delivery schedules each day.
