Overview
The Best Connection are looking to recruit HGV Class 2 (LGV C) Drivers to work with their client based in Felling, Gateshead. Our client is a leading name in the general haulage and waste sector. Although the role is heavy, there is a Drivers Mate to assist with loading and unloading the vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Collecting waste and electrials from local household recycling centers
- Collections include fridges, freezers, TV etc, so heavy lifting is involved
- Drivers Mate is provided to help load and unload the vehicle
- This is a customer-facing role, so professionalism and a friendly attitude are essential.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid UK Class 2 (LGV C) driving licence.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial Class 2 driving experience required.
- No more than 6 points on license.
- Smart appearance with a positive, customer-focused approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday shift pattern.
- 07:00 AM start time.
- Β£13.25 per hour (PAYE) Monday to Friday
- Β£19.87 per hour (PAYE) on weekends and bank holidays
