The Best Connection Slough are currently recruiting for HGV Driver/ Data Technician for a client in the Slough area!
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive to client sites, park up, and collect old IT equipment for decommissioning.
- Audit and log equipment details in Excel for inventory tracking.
- Operate on-site shredders to securely destroy hard drives.
- Ensure that the site is cleaned up, and old equipment is removed and taken for refurbishment.
- Perform manual handling of equipment (some items may be heavy).
- Maintain a professional, polite, and presentable demeanour when dealing with clients.
- Assist in basic IT tasks, including checking equipment for refurbishing or resale potential.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 licence & Valid CPC & Tacho
- Basic IT knowledge (comfortable handling IT equipment, understanding common tech terms).
- Mechanically inclined or βhandyβ with basic repair and handling tasks.
- Comfortable with physical work (manual handling of heavy equipment).
- Ability to travel regularly, including overnight stays (expenses covered for hotel, food, and lunch).
