Class 1 Shunter - Peterborough | Long-term work
We're currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Shunter Driver to work for a busy transport operation in Peterborough. This is a regular, long-term position offering excellent rates of pay and consistent night shifts.
The Role:
- Shunting trailers safely and efficiently around the yard
- Working as part of a busy night operation
- Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring trailers are positioned correctly
- Communicating with the transport team to maintain a smooth flow of work
- Start: 22:00pm
- Finish: 08:00am
Pay Rates:
- £19.08 per hour
- £27.26 per hour overtime after 40 hours
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC and Digi Tacho Card
- Previous shunting experience is highly desirable
- Good communication and safety awareness
