The Best Connection are recruiting for Warehouse & FLT Operatives to join a well-established and reputable distribution business based in the Chesterfield area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, organised, and supportive warehouse team working with high-quality products distributed across the UK and internationally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing products accurately in line with customer orders
- Handling goods with care to maintain quality standards
- Operating FLT equipment (Reach Truck and HLOPs) to move stock safely within the warehouse
- Loading and unloading deliveries efficiently and safely
- Replenishing stock and supporting goods-in and dispatch operations
- Using handheld scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to record stock movements
- Preparing orders for dispatch, including labelling and packaging
- Conducting basic FLT checks and reporting any faults
- Supporting stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with Health & Safety procedures
What to Expect:
- A hands-on role combining FLT operation with general warehouse duties
- Fast-paced but well-structured working environment
- Standing, walking, and light to moderate lifting involved
- PPE required (safety boots and hi-vis)
- Full training and ongoing support provided
Requirements:
- Valid and in-date Reach Truck licence (essential for FLT duties)
- Previous FLT and/or warehouse experience is advantageous
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Good attention to detail
- A reliable, proactive 'can-do' attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Working Hours & Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- Shifts: 6am-2pm, 10am-6pm, 2pm-10pm (rotating) or fixed 2pm-10pm
- £12.86 - £14.31 per hour depending on shift and experience
