The Best Connection are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers (store deliveries) to work from a RDC based in Darlington. The position will be to complete store deliveries (with a Drivers Mate) to their network of high street stores across the region.
The role:
- Completing store deliveries following pre-determined route
- Unloading cages of items and leaving in designated area (with the assistance of a Drivers Mate)
- Complete necessary paperwork and retain relevant copies
- Depending on time of arrival store may be closed - you will be required to operate store alarm, unlock/lock store doors etc.
The candidate:
- HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence
- Valid and in-date CPC and Digi Cards
- Minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience
- Physically fit as will involve unloading cages
Hours of work:
Routes run from 12pm to 12am (you can request your preference of start time). Overtime available over and above standard shifts.
Pay rates:
- £15.50 per hour - Class 1 Days (06.00am - 10.00pm)
- £16.50 per hour - Class 1 Nights (10.00pm - 06.00am)
- £20.00 per hour - Class 1 Saturday (all hours)
- £22.00 per hour - Class 1 Sunday/Bank Holiday (all hours)
- £22.00 per hour - Class 1 Overtime
