Working Hours:
- Litter Picker: Monday to Friday (Split Shifts) 06:00 - 10:00, 13:30 - 17:30
- Recycling Operative: Thursday - Monday or Friday - Tuesday 07:00 - 15:30
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Litter Picker to join our team at a busy waste recycling site in Carlisle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting and removing litter from designated areas of the site
- Ensuring all walkways and operational areas are kept clean and hazard-free
- Assisting with general site housekeeping duties
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Reporting any hazards or issues to the site supervisor
We are also looking for a Recycling Operative for the same site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and separate recyclable materials on the picking line
- Remove unwanted or non-recyclable items
- Work efficiently as part of a team
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Keep the work area clean and tidy
- Carry out other duties as required by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work split shifts
- Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle due to the site location
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
