Overview
Warehouse Operatives to join a fast-paced distribution centre in Radcliffe, working in a freezer environment. You will be responsible for picking goods for supermarkets using handheld scanners, EPTs (Electric Pallet Trucks), and roll cages. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for candidates who are comfortable working in a freezer environment and performing tasks that require a high level of activity, including walking up to 25,000 steps per shift and lifting heavy items.
Responsibilities
- Picking and packing supermarket products using hand scanners
- Operating EPTs and pump trucks
- Loading goods into roll cages
- Working in freezer areas
- Meeting performance and accuracy targets
- Following all health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience in a similar environment is essential
- Comfortable working in cold temperatures (freezer conditions)
- Physically fit and able to handle a fast-paced role
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills (tests will be conducted during the application process)
- Must be able to pass a drugs and alcohol test
- Availability to complete a full 5-day induction
- Ability to attend and complete health and safety and written assessments
- Willing to work weekends and do overtime if required
