This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position after just 3 months, subject to a successful review.

The Role

As part of our busy and supportive Credit Control team, you’ll play a key role in helping to manage customer accounts and ensure outstanding payments are collected efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing daily banking transactions and incoming cheques
  • Allocating payments to customer accounts
  • Contacting customers by phone, email and letter to recover outstanding debts
  • Managing your own portfolio of customer accounts
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputes
  • Carrying out credit checks for new and existing clients
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across our network of 80+ UK branches, including senior management

This is a varied role that will give you valuable exposure to finance, customer service and account management in a fast-paced commercial environment.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised and able to prioritise workloads
  • Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and targets
  • A proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail
  • Keen to learn and develop within a finance function

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous Credit Control experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience within a finance or accounts-related role
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break). No weekends.
