We are currently looking for a full time Driver Technician for a well known healthcare company based in Littlehampton. You will be responsible for the delivery, basic installation and collection of mobility equipment within people's homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across West Sussex. You may also be involved in the servicing and repair of equipment. The equipment ranges from simple walking frames and crutches to more complex equipment such as beds, hoists, and pressure care equipment. This work can involve very heavy lifting so being physically fit is beneficial.
A suitable candidate will have experience in the care sector as well as the driving sector. Be able to work flexible hours due to the requirement of being on emergency call outs. You must also have a clear criminal background as a DBS check will be carried out before your official start date.
What are we looking for?
- Someone with previous professional driving
- A dedicated worker, someone who can work Tuesday - Saturday
- Someone with a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points
- Someone who can load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy
- A great communicator
- Someone with basic DIY skills, but this by no means essential
- An individual with care/driving experience
