The Best Connection are currently recruiting Regional Relief Class 2 (C) HGV Drivers on behalf of our client, a leading national builders' merchant, to cover sites across the North East including Blaydon, Blyth, Durham, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Newcastle. Our client is the UK's largest builders' merchant with over 500 branches nationwide, supplying a wide range of building materials, tools and equipment. Responsibilities
- Delivery of building materials to local customers
- Loading and unloading vehicles using a HIAB
- Ensuring loads are safe, secure and legally compliant
- Completing approximately 14 deliveries per day
- Maintaining a professional and customer‑focused approach at all times
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Sociable daytime hours
- No weekends

- £32,000 per annum (based on a 40‑hour week – £15.38 per hour)

Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card
- Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience (including use of own vehicle)
- HIAB experience preferred but not essential – training will be provided

- Safety‑conscious and professional attitude
